Job summary
D2B Groups is seeking a General Manager to take full P&L ownership of a boiler contracting business serving NY/NJ. You will oversee service, construction, and shop operations, drive budgeting and forecasting, and maintain NBIC and ASME code compliance while leading a multi-disciplinary team.
The role focuses on margin improvement, operational discipline, and modernizing systems without disrupting client relationships and technician teams.
Qualifications
- Ten or more years of progressive operations leadership in boiler/mechanical contracting.
- Experience with R Stamp quality program and NBIC requirements is preferred.
- Proven ability to build financial reporting from operational data and present credibly to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Own P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and pricing decisions.
- Produce monthly financial package with variance, gross margin, backlog, WIP, cash flow, KPIs.
- Maintain NB R Certificate program and NBIC compliance, ASME/Code standards.
- Lead field service, project scheduling, procurement, and shop throughput.
- Drive safety metrics: TRIR, DART, Experience Modification Rate.
