Job summary

IKM Building Solutions in Seattle seeks a Service Department Manager to lead operations and sales within the department, ensuring the highest quality customer service across sales, project execution, and ongoing support.

You will supervise staff, set goals, monitor budgets and margins, pursue bid opportunities, coordinate with HR, report on WIP at monthly meetings, and collaborate with leadership to grow the customer base.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of codes and standards governing design and operating requirements.
• Proven ability to manage projects meeting schedule and cost estimates.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall leadership for the department and aligns goals with division targets.
• Seek out and complete bid opportunities through client relationships and opportunities.
• Ensure projects are safe, on or under budget, and on time; support safety practices in bidding.
• Monitor progress toward annual goals and adjust execution as needed.
• Oversee staff, set goals, review performance, and develop team capabilities.
• Collaborates with HR to address employee support needs in a timely manner.
• Manages department budget, margins, and profitability; monitor sales performance.
• Develop growth strategies with leadership to expand sales and client base.
• Reports on WIP statistics at monthly financial meetings and coordinates field operations.
