Job summary

Holmberg Mechanical is seeking a Service Director to lead the Service Department and drive growth across western Washington. You will oversee budgets, staffing, and service standards, ensuring profitable operations and exceptional client service.

In this role you will collaborate with operations, sales, and HR, shaping strategic plans and maintaining strong client relationships while guiding a team of technicians, coordinators, and support staff toward service excellence.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in commercial HVAC or plumbing service operations.
• Experience managing departmental budgets, financial performance, staffing, and business plans.
• Experience leading service teams and coordinating the work of operations, sales, and administrative staff.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and plumbing service delivery, preventive maintenance agreements, and client service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the department’s annual business plan, budget, and growth strategy.
• Manage department performance against plan; review monthly revenue, gross profit, overhead, and operating income, and address variances.
• Lead recruiting, hiring, coaching, and performance management for service staff and administrative personnel.
• Determine staffing, vehicle, technology, training, and facility needs to support growth.
• Partner with the Service Operations Manager to maintain reliable daily operations and accurate invoicing/timecards.
• Collaborate on timely billing and receivables management with accounting.
