Job summary

AVI Foodsystems in Jackson, MI is seeking a friendly Service/Delivery Route Driver. This is a Monday–Friday, 1st shift role.

You will load the company vehicle, deliver to client locations, keep products refrigerated, and handle paperwork with vending attendants. A strong team orientation and reliable driving are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicle with products needed to service locations.
• Drive to client locations to transport products and food.
• Ensure refrigeration of all cold food products in the truck.
• Deliver products to vending attendants at client locations.
• Collect products and paperwork from vending attendants at client locations.
• Discard unsold and stale merchandise.
• Communicate positively with fellow team members and customers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck
• Deliver products and food to vending attendants at client locations
• Collect products and paperwork from vending attendants at client locations
• Discard unsold and stale merchandise
• Communicate positively with fellow team members and customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
