Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Service Route Driver in Parkersburg, WV. You will load the vehicle, transport products to client locations, deliver and stock items, and ensure refrigeration for all cold foods.

You’ll interact with customers daily, promote AVI products, and maintain accurate inventory and vehicle upkeep. The role requires a 21+ driver with a clean record, DOT-physical clearance, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL not required.
• Pass DOT Physical.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication with customers and AVI team members.
• Outgoing personality with the ability to promote products.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Load company vehicle with products for service locations.
• Drive to client locations and deliver products and food.
• Load/unload products as requested and stock shelves.
• Maintain refrigeration of all cold food in truck and accounts.
• Oversee inventory and ordering of merchandise at accounts.
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise and money from machines.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance.
• Provide positive customer interactions and clear communication.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for a friendly and hard-working team member to fill the role of Service Route Driver. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 5am-2pm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the company vehicle is properly loaded with all products needed to service locations
• Drive a vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in the truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
