Job summary

Hugos Family Marketplace is seeking a Service Counter Clerk to provide outstanding customer service, process transactions at the service counter, handle returns and exchanges, and uphold store policies. Must be 18+ and able to work evening shifts at Store #7 in Thief River Falls, MN.

This role supports customers with questions, processes payments, and ensures a positive shopping experience with accurate handling of receipts and documentation. Flexible full-time or part-time positions available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior work experience required; willingness to learn.
• Ability to interact politely with customers.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with inquiries.
• Process returns, exchanges, and refunds accurately.
• Answer questions and provide product information.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues.
• Assist with special orders, rain checks, or store credits.
• Operate POS systems to process transactions and verify receipts/IDs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service counter area.
• Follow store policies and procedures for compliance.
• Communicate effectively with team and management to ensure smooth operations.
