Job summary

Hugo's Family Marketplace in Thief River Falls, MN is seeking a friendly Cashier to provide exceptional service by accurately processing transactions at the point of sale and assisting customers with inquiries.

You will handle cash, operate the POS, maintain a clean checkout area, follow store policies, and support other departments as needed to ensure a smooth, customer-focused shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash and maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
• Operate the POS system to process sales transactions including cash, credit, and debit purchases.
• Handle cash responsibly, count cash at the start of each shift, and make accurate change.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area to create a welcoming environment.
• Follow store policies, security, and loss prevention procedures to protect assets.
• Provide support in other areas of the store as needed to support a team-oriented environment.
