Job summary

Hugos Family Marketplace is seeking a Service Counter Clerk to provide outstanding customer service, process transactions at the service counter, handle returns and exchanges, and uphold store policies. Must be 18+ and able to work evening shifts at Store #7 in Thief River Falls, MN.

This role supports customers with questions, processes payments, and ensures a positive shopping experience with accurate handling of receipts and documentation. Flexible full-time or part-time positions available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior work experience required; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

The Service Counter Clerk at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by efficiently handling transactions, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This role involves maintaining the service counter's operations, processing returns and exchanges, and upholding store policies to enhance customer satisfaction. Must be 18+ years or older to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries and needs.
• Process returns, exchanges, and refunds accurately and efficiently.
• Answer customer questions and provide information about products and services.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and work towards resolving issues.
• Assist with special orders, rain checks, or store credits as needed.
• Operate POS systems to process transactions and verify receipts, documentation, or identification when required.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service counter area.
• Follow store policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to facilitate smooth operations.
