Job summary

James River Equipment in Waldorf, MD is seeking a Service Coordinator to schedule and dispatch field service work, manage customer work authorizations, and provide cost estimates. You will work with technicians, foreman, and parts staff to ensure timely, accurate service delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma and 3+ years in a service writer/advisor role, strong customer service skills, and knowledge of service department operations. Day shift, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 3+ years in service writer/advisor preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Knowledge of Service Department Operations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, dispatch and manage service jobs for field technicians.
• Process customer work authorizations with technicians, foreman, manager and parts.
• Provide cost estimates or quotations to customers.
• Explain pricing options and arrange payment plans as needed.
• Identify repair needs with technicians and communicate timelines.
• Inspect and approve service reports and finalize invoices.
