Job summary

Toyota Santa Monica is seeking a Service BDC Representative to be the voice and first impression of our Service Department. You will drive service business through proactive communication and persuasive follow-up, coordinating with multiple dealerships as needed.

The role requires one year in a call center or similar role, strong sales ability, and an energetic, professional demeanor. You will work a rotating Saturday schedule with weekday off opportunities and earn $20.00–$24.00 per hour plus

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a high-volume customer contact role (automotive preferred).
• Track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets in sales or service.
• Excellent listening, presentation, and persuasive communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively reach out to customers to schedule and confirm service appointments.
• Cross-Brand Training to support multiple dealerships.
• Use sales techniques to encourage maintenance, recalls, and repairs.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls, texts, and emails with a customer-first mindset.
• Overcome objections and communicate the value of timely service and Subaru care.
• Follow up with previous customers and missed appointments to book appointments.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors and management to maximize daily capacity.
• Maintain accurate records and meet or exceed appointment goals.

As a Service BDC Representative, you'll be the voice and first impression of our Service Department. Your role will focus on driving service business through proactive communication and persuasive follow-up:

• Proactively reach out to customers to schedule and confirm service appointments
• Cross-Brand Training:You'll be trained to work with multiple vehicle brands so you can support different dealerships and help wherever needed.
• Use sales and negotiation techniques to encourage customers to bring their vehicles in for maintenance, recalls, and repairs
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, texts, and emails with a goal-oriented, customer-first mindset
• Overcome objections and present the value of timely service and genuine Subaru care
• Follow up with previous customers, missed appointments, and declined services to convert opportunities into booked appointments
• Collaborate closely with Service Advisors and management to maximize daily shop capacity
• Maintain detailed, accurate records and consistently meet or exceed service appointment goals

Qualifications

• Required: Minimum of one year of experience in a call center, BDC, or high-volume customer contact role required (automotive experience preferred).
• Proven sales or negotiation ability with a track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets
• Exceptional communication, listening, and persuasion skills
• Strong organizational habits and attention to detail
• Energetic, upbeat, and professional attitude
• Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

This role requires availability during the following days and hours:

• Monday-Friday: Must be available to work either 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM.
• Saturdays: Must be available from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM on a rotating schedule.
• Rotating Schedule: Team members will alternate Saturday shifts with a coworker and receive a weekday off during any week they are scheduled to work on Saturday.

Compensation

• This position offers $20.00.hour - $24.00/hour depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses, including Individual Appointment Shown incentives.
