Job Description

The Service Attendant/Busser prepares and serves food items under the direction of the Cafe manager.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Pulls and wraps bread.
2. Prepares food (soups, salads, desserts, beverages, wraps, pickles, etc.).
3. Stocks Front of House (FOH).
4. Prepares trays.
5. Delivers food to guests.
6. Cleans and maintains the dining room and restrooms.
7. Provides friendly service, takes guest requests, and refers issues to the manager when needed.
8. Supports and promotes company initiatives.
9. Additional roles may include expo, cashier, dishwasher, or line cook.
10. Maintains FOH displays and condiment stations.
11. Checks and cleans bathrooms as required.
12. Busses tables.
13. Prepares food to specifications and order requests.
14. Maintains accurate cash flow and handles financial transactions when cashiering.
15. Prepares and organizes food for delivery to guests.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, or in pursuit of same.
• Ability to complete CBC driver training, pass an MVR, and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance (if applicable).
• State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable.
• Preferably at least 3 months' experience in guest service, preferably in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Proficient in POS systems and basic math skills.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
