UPMC East is hiring a Flex Full Time Food Service Attendant!

Position Details: This position involves working varied shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. Shift times include: 6:00am-2:30pm, 6:15am-2:45pm, 8:00am-4:30pm, 8:30am-5:00pm, 10:45am-7:15pm.

Purpose:

Responsible for the timely assembly, final preparation, and service of nutritionally appropriate and attractive meals. Practices proper food handling techniques and food safety procedures at all times. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills consistently.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure necessary food and service equipment/utensils are prepared for meal service.
  2. Operate all food service equipment according to department procedures.
  3. Perform additional tasks as required by the facility/department, such as inventory and stock management, serving patient meals with proper identification, setting tables, and delivering meals to residents' rooms.
  4. Assemble and serve meals according to diet orders, menus, and specific requirements of patients or guests.
  5. Maintain food safety and quality in compliance with health department regulations.
  6. Follow hand hygiene and infection control procedures consistently.
  7. Perform sanitation of work areas following departmental and health department guidelines.
