Job summary

California Truck Centers is seeking a Service Advisor to communicate repair needs to customers and relay updates to technicians. You will greet customers, help determine repairs and costs, and prepare repair orders in our service database.

With 1-3 years of service advising experience, you will develop estimates, explain costs, obtain approvals, and verify warranty coverage. We offer competitive pay, medical benefits, profit sharing, and a strong team environment.

• Verify warranty and service contract coverage; submit warranty pre-approvals with suppliers.
• Maintain logs/records of customer interactions via phone, email, or in person.

Job description

We are seeking a Service Advisor who is responsible for communicating with customers about their vehicle repair needs and relaying information to the Service Technicians. Their duties include greeting customers and helping them determine repairs and relevant costs, maintaining up-to-date knowledge about their employer’s range of services, and contacting customers to update them about their vehicle’s repair status.A day in the life may include:Handling all customer service requests by preparing Repair Orders and entering orders into service database systems.Developing estimates by costing materials, supplies, labor, and fees, including calculating customer’s payments deductibles.Maintaining customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicles.
