Job summary

California Truck Centers in Oakland is seeking a Service Advisor to communicate with customers about repair needs and coordinate with Service Technicians. You will greet customers, help determine repairs and relevant costs, and keep service staff informed on status.

Responsibilities

• Handle all customer service requests by preparing Repair Orders and entering orders into service database systems.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, labor, and fees, including calculating customer’s payments deductibles.
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicles. Obtaining the customer’s approval of estimates.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and submitting warranty pre-approvals with suppliers.
• Maintain log records and corrective actions with notes of customer interaction either by telephone, email or in person.
