Lexus of Marin, part of Sonic Automotive, is seeking a Service Advisor to join our service team. You will be the liaison between customers and technicians, ensuring vehicles are diagnosed, serviced, and repaired in a timely manner.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a compensation range of $80,000 to $130,000 per year, including base pay plus commissions. Strong communication, basic automotive knowledge, and experience with dealership software are required.

Job Description

Summary

As a Service Advisor, you will be a key member of our service team, responsible for providing outstanding customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the service department. You will serve as the liaison between customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring that customer vehicles are properly diagnosed, serviced, and repaired in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers professionally, listen to their concerns, and accurately document vehicle service needs.
• Explain recommended services and repairs, provide cost estimates, and obtain customer authorization.
• Coordinate workflow to maximize service department efficiency.
• Communicate with technicians to monitor repair progress and ensure timely completion of work.
• Keep customers informed throughout the service process, including repair status, timelines, and any delays.
• Prepare and explain repair orders and invoices, process payments, and maintain accurate service records.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, resolve concerns, and educate them on recommended maintenance services.

Additional Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.

Additional Information

Compensation:

• $80,000 to $130,000

(The Service Advisor Position has a pay scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of closed repair orders achieved from $0.00 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.)

Schedule:

• Full Time
• Monday through Saturday availability
• Sundays off
