Job summary

Poway Honda, part of the Sonic Automotive family, is seeking an automotive advisor to schedule service, obtain customer and vehicle data, and deliver accurate cost estimates. You will greet customers, manage progress updates, and ensure high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced dealership environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of advisor experience in a dealership, a high school diploma, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of advisor experience in a dealership.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Two years of experience in a dealership position.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and collects customer and vehicle data.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts; establishes promised time.
• Monitors repair progress and communicates changes to customers with proper authorization.
• Test-drives vehicles or refers to test technician as needed.
• Maintains Customer Satisfaction Index at or above the manufacturer/branch average.
• Advises customers on car care and maintenance per manufacturer specifications.
• Follows safety policies and reports accidents to a manager.
