Qualifications

• Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to answer customers’ technical questions regarding vehicle problems.
• Knowledge of automotive systems in general.
• Ability to review service orders and inspect the vehicle.
• Knowledge of new models and product improvements.
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Ascertain automotive problems by listening to customers' descriptions.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage by examining records.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor.
• Prepare repair orders by describing symptoms and problems found.
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return.
• Record problems and corrective actions planned.
