Job summary

Clearwater Toyota, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, seeks a Service Advisor to schedule service appointments, collect data, and provide complete written estimates for labor and parts. You will establish promised times and greet customers in a friendly manner to drive satisfaction.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, communicating changes to customers, obtaining authorization for additional work, test-driving when needed, and advising on maintenance per manufacturer specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a dealership position.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Professional oral and written communication skills.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments. Obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival when possible.
• Greet customers in a timely, friendly manner.
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts. Establishes 'promised time'.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day and communicates changes to customers.
• Test-drive the vehicle or refer to the test technician as necessary.
• Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index rating at least comparable to manufacturer/branch average.
• Advise customers on care of their cars and maintenance per manufacturers' specifications.
