Job summary

Sonic Automotive's Pensacola Honda location is seeking a Service Advisor to join our team. You will schedule appointments, greet customers, and provide complete written labor and parts estimates while establishing promised times.

You’ll monitor progress, inform customers of any changes, and obtain authorization for additional repairs. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 2 years in a dealership, knowledge of vehicle systems, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in a dealership position.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Professional personal appearance.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must pass pre-employment testing (background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report) and have a valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Schedules service appointments and collects customer/vehicle data.
• Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner.
• Provides written cost estimates for labor and parts; establishes promised times.
• Monitors repair progress and communicates changes to customers; obtains authorization for additional work.
• Test-drives vehicles or refers to test technician as needed.
• Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index at or above manufacturer/branch average.
• Advise customers on car care per manufacturers' specs and maintenance menus.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents to a manager.
