Job summary

Tampa Kenworth is seeking a customer service oriented individual to join our Service Advisor team. The role features an excellent starting wage and comprehensive benefits, with hours Monday–Friday 2:30pm–11:00pm and alternating Saturdays 7am–3pm.

Primary duties include opening work orders, detailing service issues, coordinating with shop foremen, and guiding customers through repairs and payment options. Physical duties and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or front-line support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in computer systems and basic software.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive initial contact with service customers.
• Ensure all service phone calls are professional and expedient.
• Work with shop foremen to schedule service repairs.
• Open work orders and describe customer service issues clearly.
• Determine payment method and communicate requirements before work begins.
• Maintain communication with customers during repairs.
• Close repair orders and follow SOPs.
• Sit, stand, bend, kneel, or lift up to 75 lbs as needed.

We are a successful and growing dealer group with locations in over four states that is looking to add another valuable member to our high performing team!*Expected hours for this role will be Monday -Friday 2:30pm to 11:00pm alternating Saturdays from 7am to 3pmResponsibilities:Create a positive initial contact with service customersInsure that all service phone calls are handled professionally and expedientlyWork closely with shop foremen to schedule service repairsPerform additional duties as required by the Service ManagerPerform all required tasks in accordance with company Standard Operating ProceduresPrimary Duties:Open work ordersDiscuss service issues with customer and create an accurate description of customer's service problems and requestsDetermine method of payment and explain payment requirements to customer before work commencesMaintain communication with customer as necessary during the repair processMaintain complete knowledge of OEM and vendor warrantiesClose repair ordersAbility to work in a dealership environment with frequent exposure to weather elementsWillingness and ability to work up to 12 hours per day as requiredAbility to sell service workAbility to work with customers in a variety of situationsGood writing and communication skillsSufficient computer skillsAbility to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and or lift/move up to 75 lbs on a regular basis
