Job summary

Prestige Toyota of Ramsey is hiring a Service Advisor to initiate automotive services and repairs, verify warranty coverage, and develop estimates. You will write repair orders, maintain customer records, and act as the liaison between customers and technicians.

The role requires clear communication and a focus on customer satisfaction, with on-site duties in Ramsey, NJ. Ideal candidates have prior Service Advisor experience, strong customer service skills, and a basic mechanical understanding

Qualifications

• Preference for prior Service Advisor experience in an automotive setting.
• 3+ years experience as an automotive technician preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate automotive services and repairs for customers.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage and develop estimates.
• Write repair orders and maintain customer records.
• Communicate between customer and technician to ensure understanding of needs.
• Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculate payment.
• Prepare RO and enter into service database system; obtain approvals.
• Inform customer of additional service needs and service times.
• Administer manufacturer warranty for qualifying repairs.

You will make sure vehicle performance problems and service requests, verifying warranty and service contract coverage, and developing estimates. Additionally, you will write repair orders and maintain customer records.Be the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensure the technician understands the customer's needs and the customer understands the needed and recommended service/repairs.Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculate customer's payment, including deductibles.Prepare repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into service database system.Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection.Administer the manufacturer warranty for qualifying vehicle repairs.Keep customer informed of service specials, completion times and service expenses.Qualifications:Previous Service Advisor experience, preferrable.3+ years experience as an automotive technician preferrable.A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residenceEst. Annual Earnings ranges from $75,000.00-$150,000.00This is a performance driven position, eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes Commission(s) off: Individual Sales, Individual Gross profit.
