Insight Global is hiring a Hardware Engineer II to design, test, and validate next‑generation server hardware for Akamai’s CDN and Cloud Compute platforms. The role is hands‑on, focusing on testing components for performance, power and reliability, and debugging hardware issues with OEM/ODM partners from development through deployment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience and a B.S. in Computer Engineering or related field, deep knowledge of computer architecture and server

Formación

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of computer architecture and server hardware components, firmware and operating systems.
• Experience with Linux environments and scripting, ideally Bash or Python.
• Hands-on embedded systems experience with debugging using lab tools.
• Experience with Ethernet, TCP/IP, PCIe, NVMe, DDR and GPU architectures.

Responsabilidades

• Test next-generation server hardware platforms for performance, power and reliability.
• Document and report results; identify defects and propose improvements.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues in engineering and manufacturing with internal and external teams.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance test scripts to validate hardware features.
• Stay up to date with computing, networking, storage and hardware acceleration standards.
