Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Engineer II to design, test and qualify next-generation server platforms for CDN and cloud compute. You will work with OEMs to ensure performance, reliability and security from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities include validating hardware components, developing test scripts, and collaborating across engineering and manufacturing to resolve issues and drive quality. Office attendance is required in Cambridge, five days a week.

Formación

• 5 years of relevant hardware experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, server hardware components, firmware and operating systems.
• Experience with Linux environments and scripting (Bash or Python).
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems and debugging with lab tools.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, TCP/IP, PCIe, NVMe, DDR and GPU architectures.

Responsabilidades

• Test next-generation server hardware platforms for performance, power and reliability.
• Document results, identify defects, and suggest improvements.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance test scripts for hardware features.
• Stay updated on computing, networking, storage and acceleration tech standards.
