Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Engineer II to join the Cambridge office. You will design, test, and validate next-generation server platforms powering Akamai Cloud, collaborating with OEM/ODM partners to ensure performance, reliability, and security.

You will work on testing server components, developing scripts, and staying current with networking, storage, and accelerator technologies. A strong foundation in computer architecture and hands-on hardware experience are essential.

Formación

• 5+ years of relevant experience in hardware engineering.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and server hardware components.
• Experience with Linux environments and scripting (Bash or Python).
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems and debugging with lab tools.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, TCP/IP, PCIe, NVMe, DDR and GPU architectures.

Responsabilidades

• Test next-generation server hardware platforms and components for performance, power and reliability.
• Document and report results, identify defects and recommend improvements.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues in engineering and manufacturing environments with internal/external teams.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance test scripts to validate hardware features.
• Keep up to date with new computing, networking, storage and hardware acceleration tech standards.
