Akamai is seeking a Hardware Engineer II in Cambridge to join the Server Team and help define the next generation of cloud server architecture. You will test, qualify, and scale server platforms in collaboration with OEM/ODM partners to deliver reliable and secure solutions for Akamai's CDN and Cloud Compute platforms.

Role requires hands-on hardware bring-up, strong debugging skills, and the ability to work across engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualificações

• 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of computer architecture and server hardware components.
• Experience with Linux environments and scripting (Bash or Python).
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems and debugging.

Responsabilidades

• Test next-generation server hardware platforms and components for performance, power, and reliability.
• Document and report results, identify defects and recommend improvements.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues in engineering and manufacturing environments with cross‑functional teams.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance test scripts for hardware features.
• Stay updated with computing, networking, storage, and hardware acceleration standards.
