Job summary

Skytop-Lodge in Skytop, PA seeks a part-time Banquet Server to support private events outside the dining room. You will help with setup, service and breakdown to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth event flow.

The role requires customer service experience (hotel/events preferred), a valid PA driver’s license, and the ability to stand for long periods while carrying up to 50 lbs. English fluency is required.

JOB TITLE

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for setting up, working and breaking down functions outside of the dining room.

REPORTS TO

The Banquet manager and the supervisor in charge of running the function.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

• Setting up tables w/ proper silverware, glassware, etc.


• Serving and bussing tables, replenishing of any buffets


• Setting up coffee service


• Breakdown of all functions and stations

PRIOR EXPERIENCE

Customer service experience, preferably from hotel or events.

RESPONSIBLE FOR

Gathering all supplies for private stations, banquets, while also working the events and ensuring all guest’s needs are satisfied. Also, maintaining of the banquet kitchen, organizing supplies and daily cleaning of banquet rooms and kitchen.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to carry a service tray weighing from one (1) to fifty (50) lbs. for long distances. Job requires being able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.

MUST HAVE

A valid PA driver’s license is a requirement to drive any vehicle.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Must have the ability to work well with others and possess strong people skills. Prefer someone with at least one year of banquet experience.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language.
