Job summary

Skytop Lodge in Kentucky is seeking a part-time Banquet Server to support events outside the dining room. You will set up tables with silverware and glassware, serve and bus tables, replenish buffets, and assist with coffee service.

You will also breakdown all functions and stations at the end of events. Ideal candidates have customer service experience, preferably from hotels or events, and can read, write, understand, and speak English.

Qualifications

• Must have strong people skills and be able to work well with others.
• Prefer Banquet experience of at least one year.

JOB TITLE

Banquet Server Part-Time

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for setting up, working and breaking down functions outside of the dining room.

REPORTS TO

The Banquet manager and the supervisor in charge of running the function.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

• Setting up tables w/ proper silverware, glassware, etc.


• Serving and bussing tables, replenishing of any buffets


• Setting up coffee service


• Breakdown of all functions and stations

PRIOR EXPERIENCE

Customer service experience, preferably from hotel or events.

RESPONSIBLE FOR

Gathering all supplies for private stations, banquets, while also working the events and ensuring all guest’s needs are satisfied. Also, maintaining of the banquet kitchen, organizing supplies and daily cleaning of banquet rooms and kitchen.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to carry a service tray weighing from one (1) to fifty (50) lbs. for long distances. Job requires being able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.

MUST HAVE

A valid PA driver’s license is a requirement to drive any vehicle.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Must have the ability to work well with others and possess strong people skills. Prefer someone with at least one year of banquet experience.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language.
