POSITION SUMMARY
Banquet Server's primary role is to greet, assist and serve guests at special functions and events, while ensuring Brand Standards and Banquet Department operating procedures are being followed. The Banquet Server will help assist with event preparation and clean up, serve guests, and respond to questions, complaints and requests of our guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set upand breakdownbanquet meeting space per Event Order instructions, including tables, table complements (salt, pepper, sugar, breadsticks, etc.),table linens, table settings,center pieces, dishes,audio-visual equipment, and all otherevent provisions.
- Run food from the kitchen to banquet space on demand.
- Assist with food preparation, such as plate up needs, prior to event start time.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet spaces, before, during and afterevents.
- Maintain communication with the guest contact person for guest needsand provide excellent customer service to allguests.
- Communicate with Banquet Manager as well as other servers.
- Greet guests as they enter the venue and help them find their seats.
- See to the comfort of guests by answering questions, taking orders, conveying special instructions to the kitchen and bar, and serving food and beverages.
- Circulating the room with trays of appetizers and beverages.
- Serve all food and beverages to guests per companystandards.
- Support other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Observe Health Department guidelines for food handling andsanitation.
- Manageaudio-visual equipmentduringevents.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents,injuries,and unsafe work conditions to management.
- All other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No direct supervisory responsibilities.

- Must be able to handle a crisis in a calm, effective manner. This includes upset guests, fire, tornado, armed robbery and assault, bomb threats and accidents.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School education or GED required to accomplish the essential functions of this job. Previous waitstaff experience. Six months serving experience for medium to large groups preferred. Knowledge of catering practices preferred.
