Qualifications

• 2+ years of serving experience, preferably in upscale dining atmosphere.
• Ability to provide personalized service and anticipate guests needs
• Reliable, positive, and team-oriented attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, establishing rapport and setting the tone for a memorable dining experience
• Guide guests through the menu with strong product knowledge
• Provide thoughtful product recommendations and upselling when appropriate
• Accurately take orders and enter them into the POS system
• Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages
• Monitor tables to ensure guest satisfaction and respond quickly to requests or concerns
• Collaborate with runners, bussers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless and efficient service
• Maintain clean, organized sections, side stations, and service areas throughout the shift
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, hospitality, and professionalism
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Server (Part-Time) - The Roof Restaurant |$35-$50/hr

Work at One of Salt Lake City's Most Iconic Hospitality Destinations! Located inside the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square, The Roof Restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience in one of the most beautiful venues in Utah. We're looking for Servers who are passionate professionals and take pride in their craft, contributing to a team known for excellence. Part-time | 20-30 hours/week | 3-5 shifts

JOB ENVIRONMENT/OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• May be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays, to accommodate business needs
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check, as well as abide by all company policies
• Takes on additional duties as required or assigned by management

COMPENSATION:

$2.13/hour + Tips (Top Servers can earn $35-$50/hour depending on shift availability, guest volumes, and individual performance). This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.

Temple Square Hospitality is a Deseret Management Company that provides hospitality services for all Temple Square guests. Its history traces back to the prestigious Hotel Utah, which was built in 1911. After 76 years as a hotel, the building closed for renovations and reopened in 1993 as a social center. In remodeling the building, the beloved attributes of service, hospitality and quality that graced the hotel were lovingly preserved in The Joseph Smith Memorial Building. In 1988, Temple Square Hospitality was organized to service the dining needs of those visiting Temple Square and Salt Lake City. Since then, it has grown into a full-scale catering department, a fine-dining 10th floor restaurant, and a quick-service restaurant in the lobby of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. The company's primary objective is to deliver an outstanding food and service experience to all guests, thereby creating lasting memories between family and friends.
