The Local in Minneapolis is looking for a dedicated server to assist guests throughout their visit. Responsibilities include ensuring service stations are stocked, greeting guests, serving food, and maintaining cleanliness. Overview

Responsible for assisting guests from the moment they enter our pub until they leave in a multitude of ways. We are a team here and expect the server to assist coworkers as well as every aspect of the pub.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that the service stations are fully stocked and kept clean and tidy.
• Attention to detail and thorough knowledge of the menu.
• Set tables and prepare the pub before opening.
• Meet and seat guests when the host is not on duty.
• Serve guests with the following: Giving advice on menu selections.
• Assist the guest with ordering from pos system on their phone.
• Serve & clear service items from the table.
• Help the guest make a payment on their phone or if needed collecting payment on the handheld device.
• Clear tables after service, disinfect properly, and reset for the next guests.
• Ensure the dining area is kept clean and sanitized at all times
• Close and clean the dining area and ensures that it is ready for the next day.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the manager on duty.
• Adhere to all state and local laws, policies of the pub, regarding the service of alcohol.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous, professional demeanor with pub guests and employees.
• Keep self-neat, clean, and in proper uniform at all times.
• Abide by all pub policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to sell, eye for detail and a team player.
• Enthusiastic personality.
• Self-motivation and a willingness to learn.
• The ability to work multiple shifts.
