Job summary

Moonshine Entertainment LTD in the United States is seeking a friendly, energetic Server to deliver a memorable dining experience. You will greet guests, present menus, explain dishes and pair beverages, while maintaining spotless tables and a warm service energy.

You will work flexible shifts including days, evenings, weekends and some holidays, assist with training, follow safety standards, and participate in company programs such as health insurance, retirement matching, and wellness benefits.

Job description

The Server is the main point of contact with guests, maintaining energy of service while cultivating a fine dining experience with exceptional food and beverage knowledge. Passion for hospitality and food leads to their ability to navigate guest interaction and service with grace.

Server Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned

• Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, make eye contact, and use a friendly verbal greeting. Continually ensures guest satisfaction with their meals.
• Know our regulars and encourage new guests to become regulars by establishing a rapport.
• Maintains knowledge of special and regular menus; including cocktail menu and wine lists. Presents menus and answers any questions regarding the menu items, including preparation methods, ingredient knowledge and pairings.
• Take and serve beverage and dessert orders and communicate any special requests.
• Sets up and maintains assigned tables and surrounding area in a complete state of cleanliness, appearance and readiness.
• Assist with training of new servers, helps other servers in their areas when appropriate.
• Complete any beginning or closing shift duties, following routine cleaning schedules.
• Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques.
• Maintains or exceeds standards of personal appearance, grooming, cleanliness, and hygiene. This includes wearing proper uniform at all times while working.

Server Qualifications and Skills:

The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Regularly stand and walk for eight to ten hours; climb sets of stairs repetitively throughout shift; occasionally required to sit, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Consistently reach shoulder level, above head, below waist; push, pull, lift and carry twenty-five (25) pounds including up flights of stairs, occasionally lift excess of fifty (50) pounds.
• Must be able to work in environmental exposure to low or high volume noise, cold, heat, water, and cleaning materials.
• Passible understanding of English Language, writing skills and basic mathematics.
• Preferred have alcohol safety training; ASK or ServSafe Alcohol, required to acquire with company sponsorship and recertify annually.
