Job summary

Cara Irish Pubs is hiring for a front-of-house bartender to assist guests from arrival to departure in a team-focused pub environment. You will help stock, set up before opening, greet and seat guests, explain menu options, assist with ordering via POS on mobile, and ensure a clean, sanitized bar area throughout shifts.

The role requires a friendly, professional demeanor, adherence to alcohol service laws, and ability to work multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have proper legal identification.
• Must possess alcohol awareness certificate.
• Reach, bend, stoop, wipe and climb stairs.
• Lift or carry service trays weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift.
• Able to operate point-of-sale system.
• Walk, stand, and move about briskly during entire shift.
• Reading and writing skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the bar & pub are fully stocked, kept clean and tidy.
• Greet and seat guests when needed and knowing how to use reservation software.
• Serve guests with menu guidance and assist with ordering from POS on their phone.
• Clear the bar top and tables following sanitizing instructions.
• Assist guests with payment on handheld devices or phones.
• Close and clean the bar & pub area and prepare for the next day.

Responsible for assisting guests from the moment they enter the pub until they leave in a multitude of ways. We are a team and expect team members to assist with all responsibilities in the front of house and occasionally back of house (running food, expo, dishes).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that the bar & pub are fully stocked, kept clean and tidy.

• Clear the bar top and tables after service, disinfect, and reset for the next guests.
• Ensure the bar & pub area is kept clean and sanitized at all times
• Close and clean the bar & pub area and ensures that it is ready for the next day.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the manager on duty.
• Adhere to all state/local laws and policies of the pub, regarding the service of alcohol.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor with pub guests and employees.
• Keep self-neat, clean, and in proper uniform at all times.
• Abide by all pub policies and procedures.
