Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Senior Youth Development Professional to assist with planning and leading activities focused on belonging, academic success, health and life skills.

This part-time, hourly position reports to the Club Director and supports membership records and clerical tasks. You will mentor Club members, participate in staff meetings, supervise activities, and help ensure a safe, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar.
• SMIC credentials or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability required.
• Experience planning and supervising youth activities.
• Complete 40 hours of DCF training within 1 year, including 90-day exams.
• CPR training completed within 90 days of hire.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in age-appropriate activities focusing on belonging and opportunity.
• Mentor new Youth Development Professionals.
• Maintain membership records in My ClubHub and provide clerical support.
• Manage daily sign-in/sign-out with ID verification.
• Collaborate with staff to create a positive environment.
• Support other club locations within a reasonable geography.
• Excel in customer service to effectively communicate with members, staff, and families.
