Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County Inc is seeking a Youth Development Professional to support program areas focused on character and leadership development. The role emphasizes mentorship, activity planning, and creating a safe, engaging club environment for youth.

The position is part time and requires a high school diploma, with preference for CPR/First Aid and driver’s license. The incumbent will collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver meaningful activities and positive youth

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience required
• Certifications in activity area preferred
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred
• Valid State Driver’s License required
• Experience working with children and knowledge of youth development
• Ability to create interactive and educational activities

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates youth development outcomes
• Engage youth, promote participation and consistent attendance
• Mentor and guide members, supporting leadership development and academic progress
• Plan and facilitate engaging activities and group projects
• Submit lesson plans and attendance sheets; perform administrative duties
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
• Maintain safety and order in the club environment
• Conduct daily set up and breakdown of program areas
