Job summary

BadVR, a fast-growing AR/VR startup, is hiring a full-time Senior Software Engineer to build AR/VR/XR applications and components. You will design, implement, test and deploy new features while evolving the existing product.

This remote role follows 10AM-6PM PST, Monday through Friday, with occasional night/weekend work. You will work on company devices and share your screen with the team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a production Unity/C environment.
• Experience creating and debugging multithreaded applications.
• Writing shaders, rendering pipelines, and animation states.
• Debugging and profiling code for CPU/GPU performance.
• Creating data structures, algorithms, OOP, and design patterns.
• Building procedural geometry and materials.
• Passion for mixed reality.
• Experience communicating across a hybrid, diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and deploy VR/AR features.
• Maintain and iterate on the existing product.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced startup.
• Write well-documented, high-quality code following best practices.
• Validate applications on multiple devices and environments.
