Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) seeks a Senior Workplace Design Manager in Charlotte, NC, to lead design across large corporate workplace and retail wealth management projects. You will drive concept to implementation, coordinating with internal and external partners to deliver innovative, on-brand environments.

The role requires extensive experience, strong stakeholder management, and a focus on sustainability and compliance, with travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience on commercial interior design projects, preferably for large organizations or financial institutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Excellent project management capabilities with end-to-end execution for major commercial interior design fit-out projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of WELL Building Standards, LEED or other sustainability frameworks.
• Leadership and ability to influence across departments and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead design management of large corporate workplace projects, ensuring adherence to standards, budget and timelines.
• Act as primary client contact for design-related matters at project level.
• Collaborate with internal teams (real estate, workplace strategy, sustainability, security, tech) to develop design concepts.
• Manage relationships with external design firms, architects, consultants and contractors.
• Oversee design phases from schematic to construction documentation while aligning with standards and sustainability.
• Provide leadership in space planning, interior design and furniture selection to foster productivity and wellbeing.
• Coordinate with project managers during construction to maintain design intent.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in workplace design.
• Oversee budgets, schedules and procurement related to design activities in partnership with construction manager.
• Provide post-occupancy evaluations for continuous improvement.
