Job summary

Goodwill Southern California seeks a dedicated Specialist to support the City of Los Angeles AdVantAGE LA Older Worker Peer Navigator initiative. The role focuses on intake, guidance, and case management for adults 55+ re-entering the workforce, with strong emphasis on collaboration, documentation, and program compliance.

You will connect participants with trainings, benefits, and community resources while maintaining funder requirements and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in case management, career counseling, workforce development or related field preferred.
• Experience serving adults 55+ or older preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with diverse populations.
• Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with older adult participants through individualized guidance, coaching, and culturally responsive support.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of participants' skills, goals, training needs, barriers, and support needs; develop employment plans.
• Complete participant intake and enrollment; determine eligibility and explain services.
• Guide participants through career exploration, job search activities, resume preparation, interviewing, and digital literacy.
• Deliver job-readiness services through workshops, coaching, and group sessions.
• Provide ongoing case management, progress monitoring, and barrier resolution.
• Coordinate referrals to training, transportation, housing, benefits, and other services.
• Coordinate participant referrals with employer engagement and support job placement.
