ICW Group seeks a Managing Attorney to oversee the Litigation Management team, balancing reduced caseloads with leadership duties and budget oversight. The role requires in-depth California workers’ compensation expertise and the ability to mentor attorneys and support staff.

You will guide process improvements, ensure cost-effective strategies, and collaborate across departments to achieve client satisfaction and business goals in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school required.
• Minimum 8–10 years of workers’ compensation legal experience.
• 1–2 years supervisory experience of associate attorneys, paralegals, law clerks, hearing representatives or support staff.

Responsabilités

• Directs operations of law office personnel providing litigation and legal services.
• Oversees law office operations for efficient in-house counsel.
• Ensures client satisfaction goals by evaluating productivity and quality of service.
• Identifies and implements workflow improvements and remediations.
• Manages budgets and financial reports; aligns with ROI goals.
• Mentors and develops staff to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Handles reduced caseloads and litigated files through resolution.
• Litigates workers’ compensation cases before courts and boards.
• Represents ICW Group before state and federal courts and agencies.
• Provides strategic legal advice and cost-effective action plans.
• Stays informed on new legislation and regulatory decisions.
