Job summary

Travelers is seeking an experienced attorney to represent clients in workers’ compensation litigation and related disputes. You will manage a caseload from inception through trial, conduct hearings, perform legal research, and draft essential documents.

The role emphasizes strong advocacy, independent work, and collaboration with partners to deliver effective outcomes. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and performance-based incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or law degree.
• 7+ years of workers compensation claim or legal experience.
• 5+ years hearing representative experience with strong litigation focus.
• Strong understanding of Workers Compensation law and procedures.
• Proficient in Westlaw, Pacer and MS Office.
• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently handles a full to moderate caseload through trial/resolution.
• Handles hearings, court events, and appointments as appropriate.
• Conducts legal research as necessary.
• Drafts pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery.
• Interprets medical reports and provides disability ratings where applicable.
• Provides case analysis to partners and clients on strategy.
• Builds strong client relationships and completes administrative tasks.
• Utilizes case management systems and technology in practice.
• Meets annual billable hour expectations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
