Job summary

Travelers Insurance is seeking a litigation-focused attorney to represent clients in disputed Workers’ Compensation claims. You will manage a full caseload from inception to resolution, conduct hearings, and draft pleadings and motions.

The role emphasizes independent work, strong legal writing, and effective advocacy. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to collaborate with a skilled legal team while meeting billable hour targets and utilizing modern case management

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or law degree required.
7+ years of workers' compensation claim or legal experience.
5+ years hearing rep experience with strong litigation focus.
Strong understanding of jurisdiction Workers' Compensation law and litigation procedures.
Proficiency with Westlaw, Pacer and MS Office.
Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
Excellent organizational and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

Independently handles a full to moderate caseload from case inception through trial/resolution.
Handles hearings, court events, and other appointments independently.
Conducts legal research as necessary.
Drafts pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery and other filings.
Interprets medical reports and provides disability ratings where applicable.
Provides recommendations and case analysis to business partners and clients.
Builds and maintains client relationships.
Completes administrative tasks and uses case management technology.
M eets annual billable hour expectations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
