Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist for the West Region. The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and processing moderately to complex claims within authority, negotiating settlements, and managing a varied caseload of property/casualty claims.

The position may be Senior Specialist I or II depending on experience; CA/WA candidates may work 100% remotely or onsite twice a month, with flexibility for regional assignments and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and 3–5 years directly related work experience.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of claims handling, liability, and general insurance policy coverage.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts investigations of claims to analyze coverage, liability, and damages.
• Determines need for experts and independent adjusters.
• Coordinates litigation activities and attends trials as a company representative.
• Mentors and trains new team members; supports team leadership with workload monitoring.
