Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist for the West Region. You will review, analyze and process moderately complex to complex claims, determine liability, negotiate settlements and manage an inventory of bodily injury or property loss claims within your authority.

This role may involve mentoring team members, assigning new claims, and providing technical direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) plus 3–5 years directly related work experience.
• Must obtain and maintain all applicable licenses.

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts investigations of claims to analyze coverage and determine liability and damages.
• Determines need for independent adjusters, experts, and examiners.
• References to subrogation or SIU as appropriate.
• Assesses policy coverage, notifies insured of issues, and establishes reserves.
• Negotiates settlements within authority and coordinates litigation activities.
• Mentors and trains new team members; supports quality review processes.
