Job summary

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to review, analyze and process moderately complex to complex claims within authority limits. You will evaluate losses, negotiate settlements, and manage inventories of commercial property/casualty claims involving bodily injury or property loss.

This role may involve senior technical guidance, team mentoring, and occasional on-site presence, with remote work options based on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field or training
• 3–5 years of directly related workers' compensation experience
• Licenses as required by state regulations and company policy
• Advanced knowledge of claims handling, liability, policy coverage, and tort law

Responsibilities

• Plans and conducts investigations of claims to analyze coverage and determine liability and damages.
• Engages adjusters, experts, and medical examiners as needed.
• Mentors team members and assists in caseload management and training.
• Coordinates litigation activities and represents the company at trials as needed.
• Participates in quality reviews and cross-functional claim processes.
