As a contingent worker, you will record hours and may work overtime as needed. You will analyze claims, negotiate settlements, and coordinate resources to deliver the best financial outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in SC and VA.
• Bachelor's degree required; designations may substitute for degree.
• SC license required at start of assignment.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of insurance economics.
• Excellent communication and client relationship-building.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Proficient in MS Office and related software.
• Fluent English in reading and writing.
• Desire for continued professional development.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate highly complex indemnity workers' compensation claims.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly.
• Report trends to senior management and underwriters.
• Coordinate resources to resolve cases for optimal financial outcomes.
• Prepare documentation and negotiate settlements.
• Maintain accurate diary and timely task completion.
• Record hours and adhere to timesheet policy.
• Manage claims in litigation as needed.
• Set claim reserves appropriately.
