Job summary

Groundswell is seeking a Workday Technical Architect to provide technical delivery leadership for a complex Workday implementation supporting an Intelligence Community customer. You will oversee technical workstreams, ensuring alignment across teams, milestones, and interfaces while translating dependencies into clear actions for leadership.

The role requires deep Workday technical expertise, enterprise technology experience, and proven leadership across large programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience supporting enterprise technology, ERP, HCM, or complex system implementations.
5+ years of relevant Workday implementation experience with significant technical delivery responsibilities.
Experience serving as a Technical Lead, Technical Architect, or comparable technical leadership role on multiple HCM implementations and at least one Workday implementation.
Broad understanding of Workday technical architecture and implementation, including integrations, data conversion, security, environments, reporting, APIs, and deployment activities.
Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple technical workstreams within a large-scale enterprise implementation.
Experience identifying and managing complex technical dependencies across systems, teams, organizations, and implementation schedules.
Experience working with enterprise CIO, IT, architecture, infrastructure, and cybersecurity organizations.
Experience coordinating technical activities and dependencies with software vendors, OEMs, or other external technology partners.
Demonstrated ability to understand technical scope, milestones deliverables, and dependencies across interconnected programs or projects.
Experience supporting technical planning, testing, deployment readiness, and production transition activities.
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams consisting of employees, consultants, and/or subcontractor resources.
Strong understanding of enterprise integration, data, security, and architecture principles.
Strong technical problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate complex technical issues and dependencies into clear program impacts, risks, decisions, and recommended actions.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across Workday workstreams (Integration, Data Conversion, Security, environments, testing).
Coordinate plans, milestones, dependencies, and interfaces with implementation teams.
Align technical implementation with solution architecture and standards.
Engage with customer CIO and enterprise technology stakeholders.
Identify risks and dependencies and drive mitigation.
Coordinate concurrent contract technical work and readiness across programs.
Support governance, readiness reviews, and deployment readiness.
Assist with security, RMF/ATO readiness and related activities.
