Job summary

SoFi is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager of the Workday Platform in San Francisco to lead multiple engineering teams responsible for designing, building, and supporting core data conduits across Workday HCM, Financial Management, and Payroll. You will partner with People Ops, Finance, Enterprise Engineering, Security, and vendors to set architecture standards and deliver scalable integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required with 4–6+ years of relevant experience as specified.
• Extensive hands-on Workday HCM, Financial Management, and Payroll experience.
• Proven experience managing managers and multiple engineering squads.
• Strong knowledge of Workday architecture, release management, and modernization strategies.
• Proficiency with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, APIs, and MuleSoft.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor managers and engineering squads in Workday HCM, Financial Management, and Payroll.
• Define and execute multi-year Workday technical roadmap and platform standards.
• Translate priorities into integration specs and project roadmaps across business units.
• Guide design, development, and maintenance of secure, reusable integrations (Workday Studio, EIB, APIs, MuleSoft).
• Establish department-wide standards for design, reviews, testing, deployment, and incident management.
• Own production support and drive root-cause analyses and improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and data privacy/compliance obligations.
• Lead Workday release testing and regression cycles; identify enterprise value opportunities.
