Job summary

SoFi Tech Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager for the Protect team to lead the engineering org building our next-generation Insurance platform. You will shape long-term architecture, drive end-to-end platform capabilities, and foster an engineering culture across Product, Design, Risk, and Engineering.

You will cultivate diverse teams, champion learning, and own end-to-end delivery with strong collaboration across functions and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical field plus 8–10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years in management.
• Proven track record of zero-to-one product delivery with production rollout.

Responsibilities

• Lead team building, organizational design, talent acquisition, performance management and career development.
• Guide architectural strategy and deliver scalable, fault-tolerant platform services in a cloud-native environment.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, Compliance and Operations to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Identify and implement modern architectural patterns to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Champion automated testing, observability, and incident mitigation across services.
• Coach engineers and leads to foster technical excellence and growth.
• Facilitate design reviews and establish engineering standards across domains.
• Communicate roadmaps and system health to leadership and partners.
