Job summary

DTN is seeking a highly experienced Senior Workday Financials Analyst to join our Finance engineering organization. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure software solutions for enterprise Finance processes, partnering with Product Managers, Architects, Engineers, QA, and Finance domain experts.

You will drive the design of APIs, data models, and distributed systems supporting Workday Finance capabilities, while ensuring data accuracy, security, and auditable workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of complex systems.
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, C++, Go, or similar.
• Strong understanding of OO design, data structures, algorithms, and software engineering.
• Experience designing distributed systems and scalable backend services.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Experience with cloud technologies and modern software development practices.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software services supporting Workday Finance capabilities
• Own complex technical problems from requirements through implementation and production support
• Design and implement reliable APIs, backend services, data models, and distributed systems
• Develop solutions supporting financial transactions, accounting, billing, revenue, reporting, and related Finance workflows
• Ensure financial data is accurate, secure, traceable, and auditable
• Design systems capable of handling high transaction volumes with high availability and reliability
• Build resilient services with proper retry, failure handling, and data reconciliation
• Participate in architecture and design reviews and influence technical direction
• Collaborate with Product Management and Finance SMEs to translate requirements into designs
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and observability
• Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and operational excellence
• Identify opportunities to simplify architecture and reduce technical debt
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership within the team
• Champion engineering best practices through code reviews and improvements
