Job summary

Ancestry is seeking a Senior People Systems professional to own and optimize Workday configurations, lead analytics through Power BI, and drive continuous improvements across HR systems. You will partner with senior HR leaders to translate data insights into strategic decisions and mentor junior analysts.

Role focuses on Core HCM/HTR, Payroll, Talent, and Leave & Absence, with opportunities to implement automation and contribute to large-scale transformations using Agile or Waterfall

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HRIS or Workday across Core HCM and Hire-to-Retire lifecycle
• Workday configuration and security expertise
• Strong Excel modeling and data storytelling capabilities
• Experience with BI tools and analytics dashboards
• Automation and workflow/ RPA knowledge (UiPath, Alteryx)
• Agile/Scrum/Waterfall project experience
• Bachelor’s degree and optional Workday certifications

Responsibilities

• Act as Workday SME across Core HCM and HTR processes, including Talent, Payroll, Leave & Absence
• Own and optimize Workday configurations, BP design, integrations, and security
• Utilize Workday reporting and Excel modeling to analyze workforce data and inform decisions
• Design and deliver dashboards using Power BI or similar BI tools
• Lead process improvements with workflow automation and RPA solutions
• Define and track KPIs for Workday services and outcomes
• Lead Workday projects/releases using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
• Partner with HR leaders to translate capabilities into business strategies
• Present Workday insights to influence workforce planning and roadmaps
• Coach junior analysts on Workday capabilities and self-service adoption
