Job summary

BlackLine in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Sr. People Systems Analyst focused on Workday to optimize HRIS, especially Absence and Benefits modules. You will own data feeds, connectors, and reporting, partnering with HR and IT to ensure accurate data and seamless integrations.

You’ll lead implementations, upgrades, security configuration, and analytics, training the HR team on new features and best practices, while maintaining compliance across regions including CAN/EMEA/APAC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in HRIS or People Systems with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Workday HCM, including configuration, security, business processes, and reporting.
• Demonstrated experience with Workday Absence and Workday Benefits modules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for end users with varied technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Act as a proactive Workday SME for system-related projects, including implementations, upgrades, and new functionality in HCM, Absence, and Benefits.
• Manage and optimize Absence and Benefits modules with configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Own and troubleshoot all file data feeds for benefits carriers and build connectors for cross-system functionality and SSO.
• Educate HR teams on Workday updates and best practices; train users across release cycles.
• Liaise with IT and vendors to ensure data integrity and successful integrations.
• Lead HR System implementations, including platform design, build, testing, and training.
• Execute multiple projects with effective time management and ownership.
